Andrej Djuric moves to Red Star Belgrade (FK Crvena zvezda) from NK Domzale – xGOLD first identified Djuric as an interesting profile in September 2022 and we have scouted him several times since, believing he could have a medium impact for a Tier 4 club.

Who is Andrej Djuric?

“Andrej Djuric is a young defender who looked to be more competent with his defensive duties than he was with his offensive ones. He rarely did anything to contribute to the side’s attacking momentum and often stuck to playing simple passes at the back to help retain possession. His long passes were rather wayward while he also failed to dribble forward on his own. Despite this, Djuric was a formidable figure when it came to his defensive efforts and was quick to step off his line and mark his man close. He was cautious with the challenges he made in the vicinity of his box and showcased the strength to outmuscle opponents off the ball when going into a duel. Djuric was strong in the air as well and won most of his aerial duels but did show a tendency to get beaten by quicker opponents.”
