Vincent Kompany is the new Burnley manager. He will take charge of the Clarets for their first second-tier season since 2015/16 after they were relegated for 22/23.

Burnley have lost plenty of senior players as free agents owing to their relegation, and Kompany has already made his mark by signing replacements who are very capable of helping the club push for promotion straight away.

One such signing is Scott Twine from MK Dons. The 23-year-old attacker, who can play as a winger or as a central attacking midfielder, won the League one Player of the Year 21/22 and will be vital to Burnley’s chances of securing promotion.

The below visualization shows where the former MK Dons player ranked for some of the key attacking metrics when compared with other players in his position for the 21/22 season.

Scott Twine won the MK Dons Player of the Year 21/22 and Young Player of the Year 21/22; this comes as no surprise, if we look at the above radar.

The 23-year-old played most of his minutes on the left side of the front three. Only four players scored more goals than him last season, which is why Twine ranks 97th percentile for goals per 90. He also ranked joint-second for Assists (11).

Twine is versatile at times and can play as an attacking midfielder in the no.10 role. His ability to create chances as well for his teammates — 71st percentile for key passes per 90 minutes — is one of his key assets.

Scott Twine will be a much-needed fresh face at Burnley. The 23-year-old has already attracted the interest of some Premier League clubs and it is fair to say that if he carries on the form he produced last season, he could very well end up in the Premier League soon, even if Burnley don’t.
