Our first TFA Talent is Mikael Egill Ellertsson of Venezia who we first identified back in February 2022 and has been on our watchlist since. We feel Ellertsson is a modern 8 with a high ceiling whose next move will be to a Tier 1 club.

“Mikael Egill Ellertsson is a 21-year-old centre-midfielder who shows the attributes of a box-to-box player. He is technically sound and has excellent ball control. Can keep the ball moving with his short passes and also looks like a promising dribbler thanks to his nifty footwork. Not very creative with his passing but can be moulded into one. He offers a goal threat for his team be it from range or with his runs into the box. His defensive work rate looks sharp and hardly switches off or gets caught out of position. He is quick to recover and covers for his full-back on the left side consistently. His energy and willingness to defend in counter-attacks are highly effective. Decent physique and is agile as well but considering his age, there is potential for growth.”
