Roko Šimić, on loan at FC Zürich from Red Bull Salzburg, is an exciting young forward advancing in his career hailing from Croatia.
Šimić, naturally spending most of his youth career in Croatia and moving to the Austrian Bundesliga in 2021, will turn only 20 years old in September.
He has been on loan at Zürich only since January and has already made a name for himself in the Swiss Super League.
Roko Šimić Style Of Play & Position
The below visualisation shows how the centre-forward has fared in the league so far this season.
Roko Šimić, just like any other youngster under the age of 20 years old, has had a stop-and-start senior professional career so far but whenever he has had the chance to showcase his abilities at the highest level, he has caught the eye of most.
Salzburg are known for producing some of the best talents in world football and Roko Šimić looks set to join the long list of players to come out of Salzburg and go on to have an amazing career.
Having already represented Croatia at U15, U16, U17 and U21 levels, Šimić is tall and unafraid of battling it out aerially — ranking around the 75th percentile for Aerial Duels Won.
He has been a prolific scorer for FC Liefering, Salzburg’s reserve team and that earned him the move to Zürich in January of this year.
Roko Šimić has got all the attributes to be a modern-day forward that offers physicality, aerial prowess, link-up play and — most importantly — finishing ability.
The U21 Euros this year will definitely be the launchpad that Roko Šimić needs to establish himself in the world of elite football.
He sure is expected to be at Salzburg at least for another season before he is approached by one of Europe’s elite.
