Luke Le Roux of Varbergs BoIS has signed for FC Volendam – we scouted Le Roux for a client back in March 2023 and felt he was ready for a club in Tier 2 like the Eredivisie.

Who is Luke Le Roux?

“Luke Le Roux is a well-rounded midfielder who looked capable during the side’s defensive and offensive transitions. He was their primary pivot and often does well to get on the ball and maintain their momentum. Le Roux had a fairly secure passing range and worked the ball well in tight spaces while also managing to pick out teammates with long-range balls. He can shoot from outside the box as well but needs to do so more frequently if he is to turn into a capable goal scorer. Le Roux looked to take up strong positions during the side’s defensive phases as well and seemed eager to break up opposition play. He was aggressive when closing down opponents and managed to nick the ball away multiple times, while also looking decent during his 1v1 duels, barring a few sloppy efforts.”
