While not many graduates from Real Madrid’s La Fabrica academy become instant first-team hits at the club, many go on to have very good careers elsewhere and some even return to Madrid further down the line – in this scout report, we look at Alvaro Rodriguez of Raul’s RM Castilla. He is a striker with a first-team goal already and a player who will certainly succeed elsewhere. xGOLD matches him to Victor Oshimen, Ollie Watkins and Robert Lewandowski.

Who is Alvaro Rodriguez?

Álvaro Rodríguez is a young centre-forward with excellent potential. He has a very dominant physical frame at such a young age and is capable of playing as a target man. He is very direct with his movements and consistently makes runs in behind to get into scoring positions. He has good poaching instincts and can score different types of goals. He is excellent in the air and seemed to be a potent figure during set pieces.

He can still improve his playmaking abilities in the build-up as he has the technical ability to do so. He is an exciting prospect who will soon be playing in the Tier 1.
