Any 17 y/o striker scoring goals in his country’s top flight is going to attract attention and it is no surprise that Greek giants Olympiakos are being linked to Uros Sremcevic of FK Mladost Lucani. We received a tip-off about Sremcevic and scouted him in September 2023 – our TIPPSTER model grading him as having Tier 2 potential (our Tiers are explained in the report below).
Who is Uros Sremcevic?
Uros Sremcevic is a promising young forward who had the basic traits to turn into a decent target man. He showcased good off-ball movements and had a variety of finishes but does need to be sharper with his attempts on goal. He looked capable of carrying possession forward as well but never really looked dynamic enough to beat his marker in 1v1 situations. He also needs to create better chances for his teammates as most of his progressive passes seemed to be made into the flanks instead of through the centre. Sremcevic looked to press in a high line and possessed the basic traits to be an effective figure here but does need to be more effective with his aggression. He conceded too many unwanted fouls when trying to close his man down while he also seemed a little sloppy when having to retain possession after intercepting an opposition pass.
