Both Man City and Brighton are looking to raid South America once again and sign Boca Juniors talent Valentin Barco – we scouted Barco back in May 2023 playing in the Argentine reserves league and our TIPPSTER model graded him as a player, at that moment, who looked like he could make an instant big impact at Tier 2 level.

Who is Valentin Barco?

Valentín Barco is an 18-year-old left fullback who can also play as a wingback. He has good footwork to close the space quickly and often disrupts opponents and recovers possession, but his timing in challenges could be better. He is a technically sound player with the potential to do better. He has good crossing skills and puts quality deliveries into dangerous areas inside the penalty area, often creating a scoring opportunity for his teammates.
