The Summer transfer window finally came to a close on October 5th, 2020. Premier League Clubs spent over £1.2bn, with Chelsea topping the charts with £226.1m. The Blues were particularly inactive on deadline day, finishing up all their transfer business well before other clubs.

Chelsea strengthened their attack mainly but also made some important additions to their defense including the signing of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City. The 23 years old left back made his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace at Stamford bridge last weekend. The visualization below takes a look at his performance from that game

He has dominated on that left side with the majority of his actions coming in the opposition’s half. This could also be because of the opponent, Crystal Palace, who are particularly known for sitting back and defending deep. To cap off his dominating display, Chilwell also scored a goal and got an assist to help Chelsea earn a deserving 4-0 victory.
